7 weeks until Stanbridge turn 70!

The 16th August 2026 marks a monumental milestone for Stanbridge, as the company officially celebrates its 70th anniversary. Founded in 1956, our seven-decade legacy is built on a commitment to innovation and infection control.

Throughout this period, our mission has stayed the same: to provide hospitals, care homes, and other healthcare facilities with the ultimate defence against infections – a bedpan washer disinfector.

It seems hard to believe that our bedpan washer disinfectors have been in use in hospitals & care homes for so long. Advances in technology have resulted in some changes to our range, but the principle of decontamination with steam to destroy the pathogens and spores responsible for outbreaks such as C.Diff and Norovirus remains the same.

As we celebrate 70 years, we are going to be diving deep into the Stanbridge archives over the coming months to share some of the moments, milestones, and memories that have shaped Stanbridge over the decades. Including innovations to our bedpans and bedpan washer disinfectors, changing regulations and long-standing employees.
