Has this replaced HTM 2030?

Yes. HTM 2030 has now been incorporated into HTM 01-01: Management and Decontamination of Surgical Instruments (Medical Devices) Used in Acute Care, specifically Part D: Washer Disinfectors. HTM 01-01 is a new consolidated memorandum for decontamination in healthcare, aligned with recent guidance changes.

What you need to know about HTM 01-01 and Part D: Washer Disinfectors

The Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) 01-01 consists of a list of documents from Parts A-E, which provide guidance and information on the management and decontamination of reusable surgical instruments used within healthcare. 

Part D of 01-01 specifically focuses on Washer Disinfectors. It details the specifications, standards and guidance for washer disinfectors, which are used to clean and disinfect reusable utensils such as bedpans and commode pots. 

For example, it details the construction materials that should be used and how they should comply with BS EN ISO 15883, integral air compressors, calorifiers and tanks which should comply with BS 853-1, the dosing systems, door controls, how they should be cleaned, drainage, and numerous other elements.
